Script Requirements

To use Automatic Blog WordPress plugin you need the ability to use fopen PHP function for remote URL.

Most servers running PHP will meet the following installation requirements.

Even if this function is disabled on your server you can contact your hosting support and ask them to allow it.

To test is your server compatible , follow these steps:

1. Upload servertest.php (it's inside .zip archive with plugin, or you can download it from here) to your server using FTP (in folder where is your WordPress blog).
2. Browse to the file www.Your-Site.com/servertest.php in a web browser.
3. If you see Google page (without images) and there isn't any PHP error on the top of page everything is fine and you can use Automatic Blog plugin on your server.

If you see some PHP errors - contact your hosting support and tell them about errors and to allow remote PHP fopen function and to turn OFF php safe mod.

How to Install Automatic Blog Plugin

• Unzip .zip archive to the local drive. (Use free 7-Zip file archiver to unzip arhive.)
• Inside AutomaticBlog folder find readme.html and open it with your web browser.
• Read and follow instructions.

Error: "The plugin does not have a valid header."

• If you see this error when trying to activate plugin, it means you didn't upload right folder to right place.
• Read and follow instructions from readme.html inside AutomaticBlog folder.
  

Troubleshooting

• Plugin is not posting to my blog
  
  First check is your server compatible - read Script Requirements on the top of this document.
  
  If you have just installed plugin - wait one day to see first article.
  
  Automatic Blog is running when someone visits your site, if the schedule time has passed.
  If you blog has 0 visits per day, there is nothing to trigger plugin.
  In this case you can set cron job to trigger any page of your blog once a day or use free uptime monitor and set it to visit your blog home page.
  
  If you Turn OFF filter settings plugin will post each day as there is almost always new content in each category.
  If you Turn ON filter and there isn't any new article with your keywords on ArticlesBase, plugin will not post that day.
