Making money online is easy, I thought so anyway. Until I was dishing out money, not receiving it. It took me two years to learn how to make money online.

I started about seven years ago when I was searching around the internet and came across a site that said something like, “Learn how to make money online”. I thought to myself, ” yep, that’s me!”

So I went ahead and purchased this information for about ninety dollars. It was about ten pages long and had the basic information about how to make money online using Adwords. I thought I knew everything on this topic now and will make loads of money online like clockwork!

I started out with Adwords; this was fairly easy to set up. I picked a topic, made a simple ad, and put it out there. I think I spent around one hundred dollars at first and had nothing to show for it. So I topped up the credit card, and gave it another crack.

Well, I made my first sale. I was so happy! I was making money online. I started making a pretty good income, about four hundred a week. Then things started to change, I noticed my ads were costing more and sales were low? I kept at it for a while, and the cost was still rising. I was no longer happy with this, so I quit my Adwords account and started with other traffic methods to make money online.

I built three websites, nothing fancy. Fairly basic with a few affiliate programs on the sites. Then I started building back links to these sites, it took me a good two straight months of doing so, then it was starting to pay off. I noticed one of my sites on the search engines, in the organic search results.

I continued to do the same thing, over and over again. My other sites popped up in the results as well. Then I realise that, you don’t need to throw you money away at advertising costs, especially at the price it is today! You need very deep pockets to do this method, and then pray you can profit in the end.

Not for me anymore, I will never pay for traffic again! Once you learn how to make money online using methods to get your own site ranked, you can turn your back on those horrible expensive advertising methods.

What I’m trying to say is, you are far better off doing some research on how to get ranked online and make money with your own site or blog. This is the best method to making money online. It does take some time to get the hang of it, but it is well worth it!

I spent a lot of money at first trying to make money online, if I would have done some research and learnt how to build my own site and get free traffic. I would be a richer man today!
