This means that neo-liberalists attempt to utilise all the resources at their disposal to further market sizes. One of the resources at their disposal is time. Neo – liberalists believe that enterprises should be open for twenty four hours a day and anything less than that would be unsatisfactory. Such a point of view can bring about problems because it does not reflect the human nature of business. This goal is over-ambitious and cannot attain optimal productivity. Entrepreneurs in neoliberal economies can engage in transactions without any fixed assets as long as they posses a contract and other means of production. This can be detrimental to a country as it can be seen in the Unite states. While the US may not be fully neo-liberal, a large section of their industries embrace this philosophy and one such example is in the real estate sector. This sector has caused a crisis in the US economy owing to neoliberal decisions made within the mortgage sector. Many mortgage companies agreed to lend to borrowers without having their own fixed assets and this eventually led to the credit crunch plaguing the country today. If mortgage lenders had not adhered to neo-liberal principles by lending more than they had in the form of fixed assets, then the US’s economy might not be in the current situation. However, if the contract was shortened to say a period of three months, then the constructor would be prompted to work harder in order to receive another contract in the next three months. Again, this approach to business is quite unrealistic because it advocates for a scenario in which a worker would have to apply for the same job over and over again. Consequently, that worker would always be aware of the fact that he/she could loose his/her job at any moment. Neoliberalism ignores some basic human resource fundamentals such as best practice strategies. In this human resource strategy, job security is a key aspect to maximising employee potential. In this regard, Neoliberalism can interrupt business professes because it ignores some of these basic rules of human resources administration. (Derber, 1999)

Neoliberalism requires that contracts be continually assessed in order to ensure that the highest yield is obtained from them. In other words, even the employees seeking to maximise these contract must also be analysed in order to ensure that they are performing to their fullest. Operating in such a manner only creates deep mistrust between employees and their employers. Certain examples reflect the extremism of this notion; in tele-care centres, employees who have to go to the toilet are noted and the amount of time spent at those toilets is also measured. Even in courier services, individuals responsible for transporting various packages are usually tracked by a GPS system in order to ascertain that the package is delivered on time. Such extreme assessment can wear out employees thus causing some of them to look for dishonest ways of surpassing the system. As the old saying goes; where there is a will, there is a way. Countries that operate under neo-liberal polices are likely to have large scale financial derivatives in place. In this regard, people have the possibility of trading financial derivative such as a ‘futures’ in the stock exchange. As if that is not enough, it is now possible to create a financial derivative on another. On such example is trading on electricity futures. The problem with such mechanisms is that they distort the true market by creating situations where investors are misled by the large amounts of alternatives available to them thus causing them to make wrong decisions. Financial derivative critics have asserted that the latter form of trade can be very detrimental to the economy because it is based on quasi opportunities. This definitely impedes business progress. Neo liberalism can also bring problems to resulting countries in instances where large numbers of contract have to be used to maximise any transaction. Taking the example of the British railways-the corporation was privatised some decades ago. This privatisation process resulted in the creation of thirty thousand different contracts. In this case the benefits of privatising the British Railway were undermined by all the expenses that went into the transactional costs. Consequently, the benefits of technology can be undermined by such expenses in any business.

Neoliberalism does not promote business within given countries because when analysed critically, the process of creating benefits through neo liberal principles causes more harm to affected individuals. Taking the example of the financial service sector; many people claim that this sector has grown because of neoliberal policies but one must ask himself/herself whether this is actually a good thing for the economy and hence for affected businesses. In centralised economies, there are no neo-liberal policies, also, there is no need for a financial services sector. In other words, one can assert that the financial services sector is a cost that neo-liberal governments themselves have to meet in order to propagate neo-liberal policies. The financial services sector demands huge amounts of investment because it is a machinery run by neo-liberalists. In the end, the financial services sector then opposes the very rule that was used to create it i.e. to decrease bureaucratic systems. It also minimises the efficiency of the market system. (Gray, 1999)

Neoliberalism causes a creation of derivative professions or professions within professions. One such example is the case of the psychologist assessment coach. According to the IRS, start-up costs include amounts paid for the following:

An analysis or survey of potential markets, products, labor supply, transportation facilities, etc., advertisements for the opening of the business, salaries and wages for employees who are being trained and their instructors, travel and other necessary costs for securing prospective distributors, suppliers, or customers and salaries and fees for executives and consultants, or for similar professional services just to name a few.

And, organizational costs include the costs of creating a corporation or partnership.

Now, should the business occur costs greater than the $5,000 limit, the remaining expenses do not have to be sunk but can be amortized over the next 180 months using a straight line calculation similar to depreciation. Simply divide the amount by 180 and deduct that amount each month until depleted.

Interesting enough, as you see from this IRS list, a business may NOT include or amortize other certain costs such as deductible interest, taxes, or research and experimental costs. These costs must be deducted in the year occurred as business operating expenses – even if the business does not have the income to offset these costs.

The goal here, especially when starting a new business and making sure that it gets started on the right foot is to understand what you can and what you cannot deduct. Then, simply ensure you follow the rules. Trying to stray outside these rules will only raise red flags with the taxing authorities and could potentially kill your business before it even gets a chance of reaching its potential.

All money that can be kept in the business will only benefit the business in the form of added capital for new business development, increased marketing reach or increasing or improving existing products and services. It is much better to keep this cash in the business than it is to just give it to the IRS or state taxing authorities if you don’t have to.

I implore all business owners – especially new start-ups – to gain a basic understanding of tax laws related to their business and to them personally as business owners (not just relying on your CPA). Not only will this allow the business to avoid potentially fatal actions in running afoul of the IRS but will also allow you (the business owner) to make better business decisions as your company moves forward – for example, knowing which actions taken throughout the year that may hurt or help your tax situation thus ensuring your business does not get blindside during the following tax season.

By getting a better understanding of the expense you can and cannot write-off may even keep you out of those embarrassing television commercials where business owners had to pay large sums of money to tax attorneys just to settle large tax debts with the IRS. The bottom line is that what the business might have saved from paying the taxing authorities is probably the same amount they ended up paying for the attorney. Do yourself a favor and just avoid this situation all together!

Dantalion Jones says in his book “Mind Control 101″ that we constantly try to influence other people for some reason (e.g. in education). The desire to change others’ minds and behaviors is one of the main functions of communication. The neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) is used everywhere: e.g.  when motivating a prospect to buy a specific product or service; creating panic to sell a certain stock; instilling trust in the authority that is speaking to you on TV; creating contempt for the competition while establishing greater customer loyalty; bringing in greater revenues; selling an undervalued product for a higher price; causing someone to reevaluate their prior beliefs. There are models of communication and behavior that can help you improve relationships with your clients, and become more effective in all areas of your business.

But how do you use NLP to persuade another person to buy or try your product or service, or change his/her behavior? Ken Hogan answers this question explicitly in his book “Covert Persuasion: Psychological Tactics and Tricks to Win the Game”.  His book  provides help in using the powers of NLP in personal and business life. Covert hypnosis or persuasion is the ability to subtly communicate with another person’s subconscious mind by bypassing the critical factor of the mind. As it often takes place in the course of a seemingly regular conversation, it is also known as Conversational Hypnosis.

An amusing example of using covert hypnosis was presented on TV by Derren Brown where he influenced his friend to buy a BMX bike. The bike was never mentioned in the conversation, however it was hidden in the messages, such as “Let me tell you how I buy(K) gifts….by (BIKE) creating the strong feeling of desire …. they BeaM eXcitement for it.” Another amusing example may be presented in education where Derren demonstrates the ineffectiveness of  telling children something that they must not do (such as „Don’t push that red button!“) without giving further instructions and disregarding the fact that our subconscious mind doesn’t  make difference between a negation and a positive statement.

Hogan claims that the central key in using covert persuasion is to find ways to elicit people’s individual processes. These processes may be in the form of beliefs, personal assumptions, tendencies and values, as well as of their strategy for making decisions.  Hogan proposes eight strategies that could be helpful for utilizing covert  persuasion. Firstly you should identify a targeted problem. This is something your prospect no longer wants to experience (e.g. high costs, poverty, debts). “Omega Strategy” is  a persuasion strategy that doesn’t try to improve or enhance the value of a product, but is solely focused on reducing resistance.  Hogan brings a “fear” as a good example on how to influence people effectively because fear is something we are all wired to fight or flee from.  A good example here would be a sales campaign by T. Harv Eker. Eker is very well aware of linguistic programming and he is using it in his program when changing “Your Money Blueprint”.  Eker uses fear scaring people to death when claiming that “If your money blueprint is not set for a high level of success, you will never have a lot of money.  And even if you somehow do, you will most likely lose it!”

Hogan claims that the key factor of persuasion is giving instructions or steps when directing or influencing behavior. Simply telling someone  to do something “Don’t push that red button!”  or “If your money blueprint is not set on a high level of success, you are doomed!”  is destined to fail because it doesn’t  include instructions. However, if people have heard those phrases thousands of times already (like “Smoking will kill you!“), they are vaccinated against it, and they will not pay attention this petition any more.  Hogan claims that at first we must scare people to hell and then give them specific instructions to follow. Therefore,  Harv Eker  gives us instructions such as “The good news is that you can actually reset your money blueprint to create natural and automatic success”. You can attend Millionaire Mind Intensive Seminar and set your money blueprint on the high level of success.

Hogan advises that if you are going to use fear in a communication in order to encourage someone to buy your product   or service, you must also include step-by-step instructions in you message in order  to be successful.  Thus, based on neuro linguistic programming, Eker states that it is insanity doing the same things over and over and expecting different results.  According to Ken Strong  the NLP assumes that what appears to be “wrong” with someone is actually the perfect response to their current map of their world or your so-called “money blueprint”. By changing your map or blueprint (that is, how you think about the world and your place in it), you can change your behavior. Hogan brings an example from a research where 69 percent from those told to imagine their car being vandalized, said they would return to the car to check if the doors were locked. Where people experience anticipated regret  they tend to take action to prevent the regret.

This is when things start to get fuzzy. Most of these MLM and network marketing companies do not have any real kind of training program for their members and this applies to ForEarth MLM.

What I suspect is they want you to do what most other mlm’s want you to do, talk to family and friends, talk to anybody that you know or don’t know, etc. All of the offline marketing methods that most people with a sales background or someone who has a large circle of friends and family can do successfully. Others will not be so successful.

This is not to say that For Earth does not offer any kind of training, but what it does mean is that you should be prepared just in case ForEarth does not have a training program other than the one I discussed earlier, the belly to belly type marketing.

Having the skills in marketing is key to your success in any business. Without marketing skills, you are destined to fail. One of the main criticisms I have towards many of these mlm’s and network marketing companies is, not only do they not provide sufficient training to their members, but they also teach you to market the products, services, the company up-front, which is wrong. If you use these methods of marketing, what will happen is if people see you coming, they are going to head in the opposite direction. This is because they see you as trying to get into their pockets. People just don’t like to be sold to and it is unfortunate that direct sales companies do not tell you this. If they did, you could avoid having to go through the rejection and heartache.

But there is a workaround. In order to share you products and services with your prospects, you must first be invited. In order to be invited, you must be willing to give your prospect something he or she wants. As a network marketer, your target market should be other network marketers and most of them are looking for ways to overcome their struggles with their business. This also means that you don’t market your products, services or company up front. What you are marketing up front is YOU. People join people not businesses. But how do you market you?

This is a question that many new entrepreneurs ask because they don’t understand the concept of marketing YOU. In order to market YOU, you must possess something of value that the prospect wants. The value they are looking for is someone who can help them. You are the one who possesses the value they are looking for and that value is your knowledge and skills in business and marketing. Well, by now you are probably saying to yourself, I don’ t know anything. I can’t give them any knowledge because I don’t have any knowledge or skills in marketing. I just got started myself. This may be true, but they don’t have to know that. If you are part of a system that teaches or trains other network marketers how to effectively market their business, this is the value you can offer them. But first, you must find that system that can, not only teach you how to market, but can teach your prospects too.

Just keep in mind, success is earned and in order to attain the success you are looking for, you must be willing to work hard, be persistent and consistent, and be open to learning new things. This is what being a true entrepreneur is all about.
